Express Locos is the product of a partnership between Derek Payne and Keith McDonald. Derek and Keith are both fans of American Railroading and 7¼ gauge society members. The original F7 model was built as a personal project, however the amount of interest it generated prompted us to develop a kit that would satisfy the needs of both the experienced engineer and a newcomer to our hobby. After much research into the marketplace we have refined the F7 kit to incorporate the features we felt we would wish to see in a kit that we purchased for ourselves. The result of our work has been to produce what we believe to be the best 7¼ gauge kit on the market to-day.
