STOLEN Ref: 2004-002 - 3" scale Suffolk Dredging Tractor

This model was stolen from the Wiltshire area on 25th March 2004

3 inch Scale to John Hainings design with modifications.

Featured on the front cover of Model Engineer, 20-30 Nov 1981, Vol 147, Issue No 3669

Light Green boiler cladding,water tank and front 'body work'.
Red wheels, front axle, front drawbar and steering wheel.
Chassis in red primer.

Steel boiler with twin safety valves and black chimney( fitted with internal venturi ).
Gear train uses Myford change wheels.
Front wheels are cast iron, 5 holes, without tread/rib.
Fitted with twin winches under water tank, and a red tie bar to vertical post fitted to chassis rail above O/S rear wheel.
Flywheel does not run true.
Steam cylinder on rear drawbar to raise/lower the winch ground anchor.
Steering uses worm and wheel and operates in the opposite sense ( turn wheel anticlockwise to turn right! ).
